Scientist/ Senior Scientist - Downstream Processing (80-100%)

Job description

To strengthen our CMC group and advance additional DARPins from research into clinical development, we are seeking an experienced Scientist / Senior Scientist in Downstream Processing.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of talented scientists and engineers to develop robust, scalable downstream processes for DARPins, as well as conjugation strategies for DARPin-chelator conjugates used in our innovative Radio-DARPins. You will lead the transfer of these processes to Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) for GMP production. Further, you will contribute to the production and analysis of high-purity protein material for both internal and external studies.

For this dynamic and multifaceted role, we seek a highly motivated professional with a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field. You should bring a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in downstream processing, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. Experience working in a GMP environment and/or involvement in technology transfer projects will be considered a strong asset.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in protein purification and protein chemistry, with a strong foundation in relevant techniques
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges
  • Passion for lab work and extensive hands-on experience in relevant analytical methods
  • Highly organized and self-driven, with an efficient and independent working style
  • Adaptable and proactive, able to respond quickly and effectively to evolving project needs
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working within multi-disciplinary development teams
  • Skilled in preparing clear, scientifically sound reports and regulatory submission documents
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
